About this site

Priya Raghavan at her desk in Pune, reading glasses in hand
Priya Raghavan, Pune. Fourteen years checking whether the data behind a claim said what the client wanted it to say.

I am Priya Raghavan, 41, from Pune. I spent fourteen years as a market research analyst before I started writing about supplements. I am not a doctor, a nutritionist or a coach, and I have no letters after my name. What I have is fourteen years of practice at spotting the gap between what a product claims and what its own paperwork shows.

Why this site exists

I put on 12 kg after my second child. Over about four years I tried jeera water, a sauna belt, three apps and two imported supplements. What eventually worked was walking and cooking at home, and it took a year, and I am not going to pretend otherwise on a website.

What stayed with me from that period was how hard it is to find out what is actually in these products. Every page I opened told me how a capsule would change my life. Almost none told me how many milligrams of what, or what the research on that amount said.

That is the gap this site fills. I read the label first and the marketing last.

How I work

What I am not qualified to do

I cannot tell you whether a supplement is safe for your body. I do not know your blood pressure, your medication or your history. Nothing here is medical advice, and every article says so. When an article lists conditions that rule a product out, that list is a reason to call a doctor, not a substitute for one.

How the site makes money

Affiliate commission. If you click a link to a seller and buy, I earn a percentage at no extra cost to you. Full details on the affiliate disclosure page.

The obvious question is whether that commission shapes what I write. The honest answer is that it creates a pull, and the only defence I can offer is the work itself: the main article on this site tells you that the product's stimulant dose is four times higher than anything the research has tested, and lists the people who should not buy it at all. That is not what a page optimised purely for commission looks like.

Medical disclaimer. I am not a doctor and nothing on this site is medical advice. I do not diagnose, treat or prescribe. Speak to a qualified doctor before starting any supplement, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take regular medication, or have a heart, blood pressure, thyroid or liver condition.
